Roleplay forum catering for
Knightmare fans and others.
Also known as Labyrinth, Corridor of Worlds was opened in September 2005 by three members of the
Knightmare Roleplay Forum - Coriolis (a.k.a Snow
cat), Azrael (a.k.a. Midnightwolf) and Gaia (a.k.a. Midnight/Magic Miranda) - in response to Knightmare Roleplay's perceived inactivity. In August 2006 in a post on
Surrounds, Coriolis explained that 'At the time ... Surrounds had seemingly come to a close ... nobody was moving in any direction in any plot whatsoever. 'Labyrinth' was created in reaction to the lull simply so that the few that (at the time) were still actively interested in the plots we were playing could continue to do so and have a small amount of 'backstage' control over what we were doing.' He also described Labyrinth as an unconnected 'parallel world' to Surrounds, much like those seen in the TV series Sliders.
Corridor of Worlds contained three realms: Gothika, Alicstra and Knightmare. The latter included locations familiar to Surrounds users (a path into and out of
Wolfenden, the
Dungeons, Wolfenden Market, the Wolf's Howl Inn, a pub called the Heifer) as well as one not to be found on Surrounds (an Opposition castle called Mount Doom).
Treguard,
Majida,
Skarkill and
Lord Fear were listed as NPCs to help ensure their continuity. A number of Corridor of Worlds characters have also appeared on Surrounds, including Rhiannon/Midnight, Leytan, Vyrrian Wren, Mog and Julian Lapis.
During discussion of Corridor of Worlds on the
Knightmare.com Forum in March 2006, it was clarified that Surrounds was 'NOT, [repeat] NOT inactive or dead' (
Skarkill) and that 'NEITHER board is in competition' (Snowcat).
Corridor of Worlds fell into disuse in August 2007. It was available
